Manually Accepting or Rejecting Classified DB Data

From the Classified DB Data window, you can manually accept or reject the data that has been classified.

      • Accepting data: Adds it to the relevant table group based on the parameters detailed in the Classified DB Data window.
      • Rejecting data: Removes it from classification results.

To accept or reject classified data:

      1. In the Main workspace, select Discovery & Classification > Classified DB Data.

The Classified DB Data window appears.

      2. In the Views pane, select the DB Data Classification Results view (see the example screenshot below).

The DB Classified Data results are displayed as a table.

      3. Select one or more rows, then right-click, and in the menu that appears, select Accept or Reject.

Alternatively, in each row, in the Action column, select Accepted by user or Rejected by user.

The data is accepted or rejected as selected and added to the relevant table group.

      4. If you want, in the Views pane, under Classified Data, select any distribution (for example, Distribution by Database Type; see the example screenshot below).

A table with the selected distribution is displayed. You can click any clickable item in this table and select an action from the menu that appears (in the menus, This row means the row to which the item belongs, and This field means the column):

        • Add to filter - adds this field or this row to an existing filter.
        • Set as filter - filters only this row or this field.
        • Exclude this value (not available for Site and Server Group)
        • Perform action (Accept All New Tables) - accepts tables, creates an SQL table group if it doesn't exist, and connect the table group to the application.

The selected filter is displayed on top, above the charts. You can save this filter by clicking the save icon, or cancel it by clicking the clear icon next to the filter. If you cancel the filter, the unfiltered data is displayed again.

      Viewing previously rejected data

      To view previously rejected data:

      1. In the Main workspace, select Discovery & Classification > Classified DB Data.

The Classified DB Data window appears.

      2. In the Views pane, select the Rejected Tables/Columns view.

      The rejected data is displayed.
