To configure archiving to Amazon S3:
- Create a new Archiving Action Set with an intuitive name. For example, use the bucket name and region in the name. For more information, see Creating Custom Action Sets.
- Add the Amazon S3 > Archive to an Amazon S3 Location action interface to the Selected Actions pane by clicking on its green arrow.
- Expand the action interface by clicking on the plus sign (+) to its left.
- Configure it as follows:
- Bucket Name: If the bucket exists, the archive will be saved to that location. If not, a new bucket with the bucket name is created in the specified region, and the archive will be saved to that location. For more information on bucket names including restrictions, please refer to the Amazon Web Services documentation.
- Access Key Id and Secret Access Key: Access Key Id and Secret Access Key that have permissions to add data to the S3. For more information, see the Amazon S3 documentation.
- Verify Secret Access Key: Confirm the Secret Access Key.
- Region: The geographical region in which the bucket is located. Note that the Management Server may not have access to isolated regions. Please see the Amazon S3 documentation for more information.
- Use Amazon MX Credentials: This option appears only if the Management Server is in AWS. Check this to use the same credentials for the S3 bucket as are being used for the Management Server. This cancels the Access Key Id and the Secret Access Key entries.
- Click Save. Settings are saved. If you are in delayed activation mode, you need to activate these settings. For more information, see Activating Settings.
