DB service custom policies allow you to generate alerts and optionally block traffic, based on specific attributes of the SQL query. Correlation policies can be manually configured or are available as predefined rules that cover certain well-known scenarios. Whatever their origin, correlation policies provide the power to perform operations that are not available via the predefined definitions in profile and/or protocol violation policies. These policies are based on the CAV mechanism, see Correlated Attack Validation (CAV) Used in Correlation Policies.
You can define as many custom correlation policies as you want. For a list of match criteria you can use in custom policies, see Database Custom Policies Match Criteria.
