Report Terminology

There are a number of terms used for various SecureSphere report components. The following table provides a list of definitions.

Report Definitions

Search:

Name	Definition

Report	Basic framework of a report including layout, tables, and general definitions without actual data. Reports are listed in the Report Pane of the Manage Reports window.
Result	An instance of data returned as the result of running a report. Results are viewable from the View Results window and from the Results tab of the configuration pane.
Enabled Report	A report that has been made available to users by the SecureSphere administrator. Reports are enabled by selecting the enable checkbox in the relevant report’s General Details tab.
Pre-defined Report	A report that has a fixed layout whose Tabular and Data Analysis views cannot be modified. Most pre-defined reports can be used to create a new report by choosing to create a new report, and basing the new report on the pre-defined report.
